A Practical Framework for Connecting Resources

Written by Zhu Zhiming, who has more than three decades of experience in commercial legal services, Leverage: A Practical Methodology for Ordinary People to Build Wealth addresses the practical limitations people face when starting or running a business. Instead of promising overnight riches, it explores how sound commercial structures, mutually beneficial arrangements and cooperative mechanisms can connect external capital, distribution channels, technology, brands, talent and wider trends.

The book proceeds through a coherent framework: changing one's mindset, understanding people, choosing a direction, integrating resources, selecting commercial pathways, executing a strategy and protecting legal rights. It explains how to identify the value one can offer, find potential partners who have resources and a willingness to collaborate, select promising opportunities, and use mechanisms such as commissions, profit participation, business integration, equity sharing and licensing to make cooperation work.

On the practical side, it examines marketing, business models and non-debt financing, as well as the ideas behind asset-light operations, fast cash flow and larger platforms. Drawing on the author's legal background, it places particular emphasis on compliance risks—including illegal fundraising, pyramid selling, misleading advertising, intellectual property, taxation and data privacy—and on written agreements that safeguard the interests of participants.

Intended for readers who want to rethink business, start a venture or side project, or improve an existing operation, the book offers a structured and practical approach to integrating resources within lawful boundaries.

This is not a book that promises overnight riches, but a practical framework you can return to again and again.
