借力:普通人的赚钱方法论 — forthcoming book

SINGAPORE-LAW-PRESS is preparing to publish Leverage: A Practical Approach to Making Money for Ordinary People, a Chinese-language book by Mr Zhu Zhiming, in October 2026.

Written for general readers, the book presents a practical approach to business. It has received Cataloguing in Publication (CIP) data from the National Library Board, Singapore. Its ISBN is 978-981-94-7605-3, with the first edition scheduled for October 2026.

A Business Methodology Built Around Leveraging Resources

Can someone make money without capital, connections, distribution channels or industry experience?

The author's answer is:

Yes. The key is to leverage what is available.

Leverage capital, channels, technology, brands and broader trends.

Leverage: A Practical Approach to Making Money for Ordinary People develops the idea of leveraging resources as its central theme. It begins with changing one's mindset, understanding people and identifying a direction, then addresses resource integration and business pathways—including marketing, business and financing models—and moves on to strategic execution, compliance and the protection of legal rights. Together, these themes form a relatively comprehensive business methodology.

For the author, leveraging resources is neither cutting corners nor simply using what belongs to others. It means creating appropriate commercial structures and arrangements for sharing benefits, so that capital, distribution, technology, talent, experience and platforms can be brought together to create value through cooperation.

The book places particular emphasis on legal boundaries and risk awareness in business. As the author argues, ways of making money must first be lawful, and business innovation must be capable of withstanding scrutiny against applicable rules.

Accordingly, Leverage is not a collection of tricks for getting rich overnight. Instead, it aims to offer ordinary readers a practical business methodology that can be learned, applied and put into operation.

As the back cover puts it:

“This is not a book that promises overnight riches, but an operating system for making money that you can use again and again.”

About the Author: Zhu Zhiming

Mr Zhu Zhiming completed his master's studies at Fudan University in 1987 and subsequently taught at East China University of Political Science and Law. He began practising law in 1990 and has since worked extensively in commercial legal services.

For more than three decades, he has focused on commercial structuring, mergers and acquisitions, drafting and reviewing contracts, corporate governance, compliance and risk management. His work has involved business operations, commercial partnerships and corporate management over many years.

Mr Zhu has been recommended by international legal directories including The Asia Pacific Legal 500. The directory's assessment stated:

“Zhu Zhiming is a very good choice, according to clients.”

He has also been recognised by Global Law Experts as a specialist in Chinese corporate law.

Leverage represents a systematic account of the author's experience over many years. Its discussion of business thinking, resource integration, business operations and the limits imposed by risk and regulation is closely connected with his career in commercial legal practice and corporate advisory work.

Bringing together observations, ideas and lessons from decades of frontline practice into a coherent methodology is a central foundation of the book.

From the Upcoming Publication to a Talk at The Bosses Network

Ahead of the book's scheduled publication, Mr Zhu was invited to give a talk to The Bosses Network on 9 October 2026. The announced theme was:

“Leverage: Use External Resources to Achieve What You Set Out to Do.”

The talk was designed to address practical business questions: attracting customers (how to build customer relationships and sell products or services), co-creating value (how to organise resources across society for mutual benefit), and financing without debt (how to secure capital for operations and growth without borrowing).

In this way, the methodology discussed in Leverage was set to enter real-world business practice alongside the book's publication.
